well D is the kind of person that Jessica wouldn't be caught dead talking to in the real world, but that's the joy of being thrown together on a desert island, isn't it? I'm not sure how he'd react to her, but I could see Jessica trying to sort of boss him around at first, like, try to take advantage of his technological genius and see if he can make a cell phone or a way for her to check her twitter account or something... but as time goes on and Jessica sort of 'finds' herself, maybe they become more 'real' friends, since they're both sort of hiding themselves, or are used to hiding themselves?

Hm, I think it's kind of the same situation as with D and Erika -- they wouldn't talk in real life, but here on the island, they become unlikely friends. If Jessica's going to try and boss him around, however, she'd better be ready for disappointment, since D doesn't like being told explicitly what to do with his time and materials. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can kind of see him being her 'gossip guy' -- meaning that whenever she just wants to talk, she comes to him, since he neither gossips nor pays enough attention to what other people say to spread it around. They might also be closer friends because D and Erika get along well. Anything to change/add/delete?
