I don't know how exactly these two will get along, besides the fact that they won't hate each other. D will certainly realize the advantages of having Jay as his friend -- work to keep him occupied, freedom to do what he wants otherwise, medical assistance -- but I also think he'd genuinely like him. D's completely content to take orders and requests for inventions, and he's also trying to make friends while he's here, so he's a little more open to potential friends. They wouldn't be best friends or anything, I don't think, since Jay will always be slightly suspicious to D (everyone's suspicious to him, actually) and will be more of a leader than someone on the same level as he is. At least from D's perspective. What do you think?

Sounds good to me although I can see Jay maybe trying to get him out of his shell more as he himself is a confident guy. I think I remember seeing that you wanted him to have more friends later on down the line so maybe with Jay could introduce some people to him? He will more often than not visit D with the need for help on mechincal/electrical things as they really aren't his strengths but in return could find certain items that he needs. Aside from that Jay won't ever have a go at D or moan at him unless he tries to do something that could endanger the whole group but I don't that would happen.

I think it would be perfect if Jay tried to get D to be more social! I mean, what's the chance that someone like D is going to walk up to someone like Katherine or Erika and say hello? Feel free to have Jay bring anyone by D's 'workshop' (for lack of a better word) to meet him -- I think it'll be really fun! And, no, he wouldn't do anything to endanger the group at all. I've got a list of quite a few things that D could conceivably make while on the island, so Jay can request pretty much anything and he'll be able to figure it out.

Will do! Yeah I thought that Jay might gradually notice that no one seems to take any attention of him or that he keeps out of the way. So maybe he can suggest it to D but does it anyway so that he can have people to talk to on the island? He can try and show him how much he matters to the group with his inventions and all that. Oh really? Could I have a look? Just for future plot ideas or something? xD

Haha, that's perfect -- even if D says he's not in the mood for visitors, bring them by. They'll do him good, plus it's especially important to D that he's doing good in the world because he's going to be brain-dead in 20 years (which is a fact that he might impart to Jay at some point in time) and has only that short amount of time to make a difference. I'll PM you the list, too, once I've got it in a PB style format.

Ok yeah thanks for that. Yeah Jay will just send anyone over to help out trying to get D more involved. I know, I hope he does tell Jay, maybe eventually they could have a heart to heart about it when they get closer. I can see it being really emotional for poor old D especially when he realizes that they might not get off the island in time.
