THE ISLAND Following a mysterious and horrific plane crash, thirty-six university students from around the country find themselves stranded on a strange and uninhabited island in the south pacific. Hundreds of miles off course, it soon becomes apparent that the survivors will not only have to cope with the forces of nature, but with the island's mysterious secrets. This island contains much more than meets the eye and it soon becomes apparent that it was far more than mere chance that brought them all together.
Following the horrifying events of the first night on the Island, the survivors realized that there are indeed dangerous and mysterious creatures lurking in the jungle. Anxious and desperate, the survivors rally around Jay Sullivan, the med-school prodigy suffering from deep personal tragedy. Initially, the survivors pledge to pool their resources and work together, but little by little the seeds of dissent grow to clear disunion. As the survivors being to feel the strain of the growing conflicts, more and more mysterious events cause the group to fear for their safety. After a particularity disturbing discovery, it becomes clear that not only was the crash intentional, and not only is the island inhabited, but perhaps The Island isn’t an actually an island at all.
