I'm new here and don't have an application up yet. Why did my account get deleted?


ANSWER;;
Every few days our staff goes through our list of members and cleans out accounts older than 7 days that are not in use. If for some reason your account is one of those deleted please feel free to just re-create it when you're ready to apply.

QUESTION;;
I only have one character and I was asked to hold off on another character application for a while, why?


ANSWER;;
The Island is an advanced role play and is very time consuming. If you're still pretty new to the site, and just getting active in character, we may ask you to wait before making another. This is because we do not want a new player to take on too much when they are just getting started and finding their rhythm within our community.

QUESTION;;
I applied for a canon and was rejected. Why can't I play a canon?


ANSWER;;
The admins will deny certain applications that we do not feel that you are a good fit for one particular canon. It's nothing personal, it's just in the best interest of the board. The admin might make a suggestion as to another potential canon you might be better suited for - or they might suggest you make an original character, and get some play/experience on the board before taking up a canon. Like we mentioned, this is an ADVANCED roleplay so the bios will be read over carefully, and we expect nothing but the best (no spelling errors, no grammar errors, proper sentence structure, detail, length, etc.)

QUESTION;;
I want a canon, but I don't like who you have selected for some of the canons ... can I change the celebrity choice?


ANSWER;;
When selected canon play-bys, the admins tried to select celebrities that fit the basic idea and look for the canon characte. You can, of course, contact the site administration to ask about a swap, but we arent promising anything..

QUESTION;;
I just applied for a character but was denied. Then my account was deleted? Why can't I just fix my application??


ANSWER;;
Although we are sorry that your application was not accepted, we operate under a 'Pass or Fail Policy'. This is an advanced role play and you really only need one shot to get an application right. Minor detail issues, of course, can be corrected, but if the adminstration feels that the application is majorly lacking, your application will be denied and your account deteted. Sorry, we're merciless.

Dude .. you just changed my avatar and signature for me.. Why!?


ANSWER;;
Here at The Island, we're pretty concerned with the look of our forum and we try to keep things uniform. We have standard for our avatars and a standard for our signature. If you do not like the photo used for your graphics, just contact our administration and we can set you up with a new one.
