{{ Michelle is a good character to play: because she has had some different things happen in her life. She has lost both her parents. Her mother survived two rounds with cancer. They really took the life out of her mother because she was so weak after all the treatments and everything. Her father died in Iraq serving his country. Her mother was killed in a car wreck that was not her fault but the state trooper said that it was hers. Another girl was also killed in the other vehicle. Before her father died, he bought her a German Shepard. She named him Smokey after the University of Tennessee’s mascot Smokey.
When her father died, she was still under age. The child services would not let her take Smokey with her to her new home. So she ran away at the last minute. She did not stay in one place too long because she thought that someone would pick on her last name and figure it out. Then she would be sent back and lose her best friend and talk to buddy. She got her GED as she moved around. Then she went to college to be a Vet.
When she reached the age of eighteen, she joined the military and went in as a K-9 unit. Then moved up to the Head Vet for the K-9s. She toured Iraq three times in a row. She saw her buddies die. She was finally given a Medical Discharge because of the Post Tragic Stress that finally claimed her mind sometimes. They given her the medications for it but none have worked for it. It just made her crazier.
She wanted to come to the island to cut loose from the real world for a while. She figured that if she came here, no one would care if she was crazy or not.
She is a good friend once you get through her hard wall that she built up around her heart because of everything. She is kind and cares for everyone even her enemies. She really cares for someone who went through cancer or Iraq and survived. If someone is hurt or something, she tries to help them because of her Vet training. Human doctors and Vets use the same thing on their patients, just in smaller doses.

Michelle got off the plane, walking over to the claiming area for her bags. Then Michelle walked over to the desk and collected her carrier that had her black German Shepard, Smokey . Michelle walked out, hooking the leash onto Smokey’s collar, and walked the rest to the main desk of the island. Michelle grabbed the paperwork that the woman handed her. Michelle told Smokey to lay down as she ran her hand through her blonde hair. Michelle looked down at Smokey. “This is going to take a while to get used to. Won’t it boy?” she said to Smokey as she stroked his shiny black ear. Smokey perked his head up and barked at her.
Michelle took it as a yes. Michelle and Smokey were used to living in the East Tennessee mountains. Michelle really did not care about the flatness of the island but she was not going to say anything. Michelle liked the mountains and hills. The land gave the area it’s character. If Michelle was at home right now, the leaves would be turning and the weather would become colder. Michelle did always like going over into the Smokey Mountains and see the different color leaves.
Michelle pulled out of her daydream and looked down at the paper. Michelle picked up the pen and started to fill it out. When Michelle was done, Michelle told Smokey to stay as she walked back over to the desk and turned in the paper. Michelle walked back over to Smokey and picked up his dark blue leash that matched his dark blue collar around his midnight neck. Michelle was glad that she had him neutered and had gotten his rabies, Kennel Kough, and Parvo shots. Michelle had gotten him heart wormed tested before she came.
Michelle stood up as her name was called. She told Smokey to heel as she walked into the office. Michelle sat down in front of the desk as she waited for the man to talk to her and tell her what will happen as long as she was on the island. When he was done, Michelle thanked him and walked out into the sun setting in hundreds of different oranges and reds. Michelle walked down to the place that the man told her that she could sleep. Michelle let herself and Smokey in. Michelle unpacked and lay down for the night with Smokey at her side. She would wake up the next day and discovered what this island was about.[/ul]
