Hello Prospective THE ISLAND Applicant,

We’re thrilled that you are interested in joining our role-play. THE ISLAND is an advanced role play which centers on a group of young adults who are marooned on a mysterious, uncharted Island. That much is obvious. Let me take a few moments to explain a few things that aren’t too apparent.

This role-play puts a lot of emphasis on characterization and character development more. Each of our characters is somehow broken. Jay Sullivan, The Doctor, recently loss his father to a sudden neurological disease which has caused him to question his plans for the future. James Grey, The Group’s Badboy, accidentally paralyzed his kid-sister in a drunken car accident, causing him to attempt suicide. Samantha Rousseau, the Hottie With A Past, recently, and illegally, pulled the plug on her terminal grandfather, mercifully killing him and alienating herself from the rest of her family. The list goes on and on. All applicants should understand this when applying.

Also, this application is more of an audition than an application. You will be asking you to complete two writing samples. Firstly, we'd like to know what your interpretation of the character is, what you will be bringing to the table, and where you see the character going. Secondly, we'd like to see a sample role-play of yours, which will ultimately become your first post on this site. Please see the application for details.
